The last Few Weeks
 

ARKANSAS DAVE

 

Arkansas Dave plays some mean Blues Rock, and travelled from the USA across to the UK to some gigs.

We managed to grab a great rehearsal on the Wednesday at Uproar in Birmingham and Thursday was our First Gig, in Birmingham also.

The Second Show was at the Hall in Bewdley. A lovely town that I will be frequenting again at some point.

The audience loved the music and they were very kind with their comments.

Then, On the Saturday, We played the Maverick Festival In East Anglia.

Such A lovely band and a wonderful host in Dave.

Good tunes to play.

 

 

And onto Sad News.

As most will know, Gaynor Sullivan (Bonnie Tyler) fell ill in May of this year after a sell out show at the Shepherds Bush Empire.

We all kept up to date on her health and were very positive about her future recovery. She wasn't going to be singing soon, but we were hoping for a full recovery.

Sadly on the 8th July 2026, Gaynor passed away. For Robert her Husband, Her Family, for us Friends and musicians, and for her fans.....it was devistating news.

For the Band, it was like losing a close family member. It still hasn't sank in, but in weeks to come....there will a lot of talk of those wonderful shows that everyone did with Bonnie.

She will be missed sorely much, and I can't imagine a year without her.

Life really is cruel sometimes.

 

 

Off back to Tim Hamill's Sonic One Studio at the end of the month for a session and then upon the news of Bonnie's funeral which is on my birthday, the 17th August.......I'll be heading back to Wales to catch up with my family and my muso mates.

I don't have normal friends like everyone else ;)
