Late March, and I started to gather my thoughts on the TOYSHOP MURDERS project and album. It's really hard to revisit something you've not bothered to finish. It's been a good 30 odd years and I find it harder to complete it.
As my good friend Rob Reed says...."GET THEM DRUMS DONE. That'll be the start of the kickstarting". He's right, but I have to make sure I'm happy with the arrangement and happy with my sounds and parts.
So many things to revisit.
I have been scouring the old VHS transfered videos of "The Mal Pope Show" Series 2 from 1994, 2 "Can I Gymru's" from 95 and 96(songs for Wales), "Gorau Gwlad" which was a welsh Country show and various other bits I've dumped to the digital domain.
Mainly Mal Pope and the Jacks. Wal and Tony were the rhythm section for most of those shows apart from Episode 2-6 with Rowan Griffiths on Drums.
Such wonderful Memories and 30 odd years ago.
Tempus Fugit.
You can never appreciate at the time when you're in the moment. Fantastic camaraderie and laughs. Wonderful musicianship and a constant flow of team bonding.
I do miss those days. They were such marvelous times.
So, Firing up the Projects starting from tomorrow. I have some definite ideas for the TM songs.
In the meantime, I've only gone and got a Mountain Bike as my Road bike hasn't seen the cheeks of my arse since I fell off in October 2020.
ONWARDS AND...um....ONWARDS
